About the Artist
The Intersection of Two Worlds
By day, my environment is governed by absolute precision, rigid structure, and the demanding analytical rigour of a corporate career. My mind operates within frameworks of metrics, logic, and unyielding professional order.
By night and weekend, that same deep-seated need for structure undergoes a radical transformation. The analytical retreats, making way for a highly tactile, physical, and unyielding exploration of form, heavy texture, and light.
My studio practice is an intuitive response to an intense corporate environment—a deliberate step into the bold, and a quiet refusal to let creativity be bounded by office hours.
The Evolution of The Audacity Collection
My debut release, The Audacity Collection, is a direct study in this duality. It explores the tension between stark boundary lines and raw, organic chaos. Using heavy-bodied sculptural mediums, I carve deep, undulating plaster ridges onto the canvas, building a three-dimensional architecture that catches the eye.
These sweeping, shadowy valleys are then illuminated by the reflective brilliance of hand-applied genuine metal leaf. The compositions are designed intentionally to remain unglazed and free of glass. This allows changing daily light to interact naturally with the shimmering leaf and dimensional textures, ensuring the artwork transforms dynamically depending on the angle from which it is viewed.
To anchor this powerful energy, each original canvas is housed in a bespoke floating frame, hand-finished in a deep forest green paint in my studio. The custom-milled wood frames are built to create an extra-wide 2cm shadow gap, making the artwork appear suspended in mid-air.
A Note on the Editions
The Audacity Collection consists of exactly four unique original works: the central 50x50cm masterwork, Audacity, and three 40x40cm companion pieces—Dauntless, Defiance, and Temerity.
To share this vision further, I have created a strictly limited run of 25 archival giclée prints of the main piece. To honour the spirit of the original painting, every single print is individually hand-gilded by my own hands in the studio. Because genuine metal leaf reacts uniquely to each application, no two pieces in the run will ever be identical. Each print stands alone as a highly valuable, unique collector’s item.
Thank you for welcoming these textures, this light, and this journey into your space.
